What will set your life on fire🔥 Find out here!

You have almost made it through April!

Hey Beauty! It's MarLisa, the Juicy Life Coach

I am so proud of you.

You figured out a whole new schedule, system, and level of what is important to you. You basically took everything you have learned your entire life and had to tweak every single area: exercise, work, parenting, connection, self-care, cooking, entertainment, stress relief, sleep, and many more....

Things I got that may really be useful to you are:

I looked at the values I want my children to know and connect with. What our family values are. Now that I get to spend so much time with them playing, homeschooling and modeling there is no better time for me to show them what kindness looks like, why it's important, how they can give and receive it, how adults show each other kindness, why it's important and what to do when you are not feeling like you are being treated kindly.

That was really hard....

It was so hard because I was frustrated with my own feelings (not being listened to, spending 24/7 with people, trying to be a teacher to grades 3, 5 and 6) and just trying to have a damn shower! When the kindness wasn't present things really fell apart, for all of us. I reminded myself to "be the change I want to see" and immediately felt more connected, purposeful, and had direction. I believe kindness will get me through anything in my life with authenticity and grace. That is the most important thing for my kids to know.  Pre-algebra may just have to wait its turn!

The other nugget was that fun and laughter created such a great balm over this trying time. Some people have had the schedule go out the window and find themselves struggling to eat something that didn't come out of a chip bag or wear something that doesn't resemble pajamas. It showed up in me by forgetting to have fun. Enjoying moments of the day are what makes it worth it. I'm going to start watching Friends again to have some laughs every day.

Here is what you can do...Give yourself a reward. Your reward may be watching a movie, not a documentary, not a whiff of learning, just pleasure. This was what I needed. If you've swung the other way, reward yourself with some learning, doing, structure. The point is you know what you need, you are so resourceful. Even if you only have 5 minutes, go and gift yourself that thing you need, go and take that step. I WANT to hear about the thing that you did for yourself. Please share on Instagram, Facebook or snail email

Things I am thankful for:

  • Everyone that is showing up to work every single day. The fact I can get a muffin at the bakery feels so precious right now or Thai delivery once in a while.
  • Starbucks extended my birthday drink!
  • I am still able to coach online to my wonderful clients and assist them in creating change. Here is where you can find my packages
  • Books, I'm reading, Can't Hurt Me by Dave Goggins. So far he represents such strength coming from where he did. A Pheonix rising, he can light a fire under your ass!
  • The Spring flowers coming up, these tulips and rhododendrons bring the colour my spirit is needing to see.
  • Mobile fitness equipment. Workout tubes for curls, rows, squats you name it. I take mine to the park as well as inside the house. I have purchased another soccer net so the kids can have even more fun and interest playing soccer and you can take it with you to any empty field.

As you can see the gratitude can be as small as an Americano. It counts and it will help us get through this time, all times. Can you tell yourself 3 things you are thankful for right now?
